Robotic Surgery Workshop in Turkey

FOCUSED ROBOTIC SKILLS EDUCATION

One Skill. One Objective. Intensive Practice.

Short, concentrated robotic surgery education built around a clearly defined technical skill, procedural step, platform or operating-room role.

Depending on the workshop subject and available facilities, activities may include short lectures, surgical video discussion, demonstrations, virtual reality simulation, dry lab exercises and selected tissue-based training.

OVERVIEW

What Makes a Workshop Different?

A robotic surgery workshop is a short educational activity built around a clearly defined learning objective.

Unlike a broader course covering several objectives or an entire procedure, a workshop may concentrate on one fundamental skill, one procedural step, one reconstructive technique, one robotic platform or one operating-room role.

WHO CAN ATTEND

Workshops Can Be Matched to the Participant Level

Eligibility depends on the subject and level. A fundamental console workshop may accept beginners, while an advanced reconstruction or tissue-based workshop may require previous robotic experience.

WORKSHOP COMPONENTS

What Can a Workshop Include?

The individual workshop page should clearly state which activities are actually included.

TEACH

Short Lecture

Focused theory, anatomy and technical principles.

SHOW

Demonstration & Video

Faculty demonstration, surgical video and case discussion.

PRACTISE

Simulation & Dry Lab

Virtual reality, robotic console exercises and repeatable technical tasks.

BEDSIDE

Bedside Assistant

OR setup, positioning, port-placement principles, docking, instrument exchange, suction/irrigation, clips, sutures, retraction, specimen handling, troubleshooting and emergency undocking.

PROCEDURE-SPECIFIC

Focus on Selected Stages — Not the Entire Operation

A workshop generally concentrates on selected technical stages or reconstructive components rather than reproducing the complete clinical operation.

MULTIPORT

Multiport Workshop

SINGLE-PORT

Single-Port Workshop

TEAM-BASED WORKSHOP

Robotic Operating Room Team Workshop

Institutional teams may request a workshop built around coordinated robotic operating-room performance.

PRACTICAL ENVIRONMENTS

Simulation, Dry Lab, Wet Tissue & Advanced Laboratory Workshops

SIMULATION

Simulation-Based Workshop

Camera targeting, instrument control, clutching, coordination, fourth-arm use, object transfer, needle handling, suturing and energy.

DRY LAB

Dry Lab Workshop

Suture pads, synthetic tissue, silicone models, artificial vessels, tubular structures, kidney and pelvic anastomosis models.

WET TISSUE

Wet Tissue Workshop

Tissue handling, dissection, energy application, suturing, anastomosis, hemostasis and reconstruction.

ADVANCED LAB

Approved Advanced Workshop

Selected advanced workshops may include institutionally approved live animal models subject to ethical, veterinary and eligibility requirements.

WORKSHOP LEVELS

Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced

BEGINNER

Fundamental Skills

System orientation, ergonomics, camera control, instrument manipulation, clutching, object transfer, basic needle handling and introductory suturing.

INTERMEDIATE

Technical Refinement

Advanced coordination, fourth-arm control, precision cutting, intracorporeal suturing, knot tying, anastomosis and procedure-specific models.

ADVANCED

Complex Practical Focus

Complex suturing, advanced reconstruction, procedure-specific tasks, tissue training, Single-Port surgery, complication scenarios and faculty-guided assessment.

WORKSHOP DURATION

Short by Design

Programs requiring a broader curriculum or lasting longer than three days are generally better described as courses.

HALF DAY

Micro Workshop

One lecture, one demonstration, one practical exercise or one selected fundamental skill.

1 DAY

Focused Workshop

Theory, faculty demonstration, simulation or dry lab and targeted technical feedback.

2 DAYS

Progressive Workshop

More practical rotations, procedure-specific models, repeated suturing or anastomosis and faculty assessment.

UP TO 3 DAYS

Intensive Workshop

Lectures, surgical videos, simulation, dry lab, tissue-based exercises and procedure-specific practice.

PRACTICAL ACCESS

Participant Numbers Matter

The educational value of a workshop depends partly on the participant-to-console or participant-to-station ratio.

VS COURSE

Workshop vs Course

Workshop: one focused objective, shorter duration and stronger practical concentration. Course: broader curriculum and multiple objectives.

VS OBSERVERSHIP

Workshop vs Observership

Workshop offers repeatable technical exercises; observership provides clinical observation following real patient-care schedules.

VS CUSTOM TRAINING

Workshop vs Customized Training

A scheduled workshop has fixed dates, topic and exercises; customized training can combine several workshops and adapt to individual goals.
